I am a work-at-home mom and homemaker living in central Ohio. I am permanently attached to the man of my dreams and have two active, wonderful sons.
My name is Brooke and I’m the mad genius mastermind behind Diary of a Determined Momma. I love to blog, write fiction, scrapbook, drool over shop for new retro dresses, make jewelry from my own handmade beads, and coach others who want to work at home. I love to enter sweepstakes as much as I love to host them. I have a driving passion for all things fashion and beauty and I’ve recently reached my goal weight of 110 pounds. (Go me!) I’m five feet tall, so high heels are a must. Mary Jane pumps are my favorite shoes and I will find any excuse to wear them. I typically only wear dresses and you can find me adding to it an apron and pearls on any given day. See that avatar up there? ^^^ That’s me. I’m the work-at-home matriarch of a typical middle-class family of four and I love every single day that I’m blessed with.
Big Bug
Big Bug is 4 years old and already obsessed with technology. His favorite things in this world are Star Wars, writing, and Legos. If we’re outside, you’ll likely see him wearing a fedora to match the man of the house who he emulates as often as possible. He’s a responsible and bright child who helps with household chores and loves our youngest dog to pieces. As of January 2013, Big Bug joined the adults of the family and got his first pair of glasses.
Little Bug
Little Bug is 3 years old and he’s a mess magnet. He loves Dr. Seuss and anything he can do with his hands like paint, Play-Doh, and playing games on a tablet. He’s recently started getting Lego sets of his own, but by far his favorites are the horror sets (werewolves). He loves zombies and will watch the Halloween special of any given show over the other episodes. He’s a little tornado, but he’s also extremely loving and snuggles are a daily must-have for him.
Mr. Determined
Ah, the mysterious Mr. Determined. He’s the love of my life. He has no internet presence an doesn’t intend to anytime soon, much to Determined Momma’s chagrin. While he refuses to have any part in this blog, he is still incredibly supportive of me and listens for hours as I prattle on about sponsors and reviews. He’s the amazing workaholic who keeps this household running smoothly and provides us with a life that we can all be happy with and enjoy together. I could not do any of this without him.
