Fitness Products On Sale To Help With Your New Year’s Resolution

Anyone else set a fitness goal every. single. year?  A few years ago I publicly documented my weight loss and although I don’t talk about it as much anymore, I’m still working at it.  For 2015, I’m looking to lose another 10 pounds before going in for surgery to repair the loose skin left over from that weight loss.  I refuse to pay $500 a year to go to a gym and just use a treadmill so for this year I’m buying a treadmill for home and some other basic equipment to go with it.

Amazon is having some great sales right now for exactly what I’m looking for, so I thought I’d share!  (Prices are as of the time I’m writing this and can change.)

Stay Hydrated

I had a chance to write a Define Bottle review last year and I’m still using it a year later.  My personal favorite while I’m working out is a slice of lemon with a few raspberries for a tasty drink.  It definitely encourages me to drink more water during my workout.  Define Bottle (fruit infuser bottle)- $19.99

Track Your Progress

I have several friends who swear by their Fitbit for helping them lose weight.  You can see heart rate all day and during workouts to get more accurate calorie burn, reach your target workout intensity and maximize training time. Track steps, distance, floors climbed and sleep quality and more, and stay connected with Caller ID and time of day on display. Charge HR also wirelessly syncs to your smartphone and computer so you can monitor your trends and get the motivation you need to push yourself further.  Fitbit Charge HR Wireless Activity Wristband- $149.87

Light Weights

One of the changes I’m making for my routine is adding light weights to the exercises I’ve already been doing to help with my plateau.  They’re a great, inexpensive way to improve your workouts.  These neoprene weights come in three different sizes and come with a compact storage rack.  Tone Fitness 20-Pound Hourglass Shaped Dumbell Set- $19.87

Try Something New

Yoga and Pilates are a good started method of starting any fitness or wellness journey.  It has a low barrier to entry, and a lot of chances for growth and improvement.  Rather than spend a fortune on the basics for it, you can get a starter-kit with a mat, blocks, and strap cheap and see if it’s something you like.  5-Piece Essentials Yoga Beginners Kit- $19.99

When In Doubt Just Move

I’ve been doing a lot of research on Treadmills because when you don’t know what else to do, you can walk.  This Weslo treadmill has consistently been one of the best rated treadmills for walking in the under $500 group.  It’s a motorized one with 6 different fitness apps to try.  Weslo Cadence G 5.9 Treadmill- $287.00
