I collect journals and stationary. I have leather-bound journals that have been blank in the ten years I’ve owned them, journals full of writing ideas on the coffee table, and handmade paper stationary from India adorned with snakes and fish that my uncle found for me in a marketplace during his trip. I’m a writer, and I love anything to go with that writing. I can’t help but enjoy anything on paper.
I was missing something with my new name on it. I’m overjoyed that Mr. Determined and I were finally married about a month ago. I am now Mrs. Brooke Buttitta and I’m ecstatic to make that name change after years of knowing we’d end up married someday. So you guys know this had to happen:
I chose the color of our wedding for the beautiful design on these stationary pads from Erin Condren and put my new name at the bottom.
It was one of the first things to come to our house with my new name on it (which makes it extra special of course). I love that they also sent a sampler pack of a lot of their designs that could be customized with that new name if I chose to. It’s always nicer to be able to see what you’re interested in buying face-to-face like that. So now I have tons of ideas for other things to buy before Christmas hits.
I got a set of gift labels to go with my stationary that said, “Just a little something from The Buttittas”. That’s going on every gift bag and wrapped box that we’re sending out for Christmas. I also have used a couple of them on the back of our Christmas card envelopes to keep them closed and add something personal.
For The Holidays
I adore the patterns and designs that Erin Condren uses on their products. There’s some classic mixed in with a lot of contemporary patterns, so it’s a little bit for everyone. I’m using my gift stickers on bags, but they have beautiful gift tags that you can personalize to slip onto your gift bags. (The Fleur Feliz design is my personal favorite right now.) They also have an entire line of designer holiday cards for 2014 (including ones where you can include a family photo. (Psst! Use BEJOLLY30 on their Holiday Card Page to get 30% off throughout this month. Isn’t saving money grand?)
If you’re looking for an inexpensive, unique ornament for those ornament exchanges that pop up at work every year, they are also carrying two different designs for their aluminum 2014 ornaments. The come ready with a ribbon for hanging and a pouch to store them in, making it a super easy (and frugal) gift to hand out this year.
