A Fabulously Functional Wedding Favor

{Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.}

There are a million different ways to thank guests for coming to your wedding, but most commonly we make sure that each person gets a special, small wedding gift themselves.  Sometimes this is as simple as customized tins of candy or bubbles.  For about the same cost as those though, you can give them a gift that they can use over and over.

Everyone loves their drinks in a bottle.  Beer has come in bottles for ages, customized-labels-for-the-wedding Jones Soda has become incredibly popular recently, and I know a lot of people who have started enjoying their Coca-Cola in a glass bottle again.  Little Things Favors has a large collection of fantastic wedding favors and was kind enough to send me one of their Vintage Skeleton Key Bottle Openers to try out before the wedding.  We’re very classic and traditional people in our decor so I can put this in the kitchen right alongside my Tuscan decor, and it blends in perfectly.  It has smooth brown tassel attached to the back of it that makes it easy to hang.

This key is great for rustic or vintage themed weddings, but I also can’t help but think of Alice in Wonderland when I look at it.  It comes in an elegant, satin padded box with a tag on it that says, “For You”.  You can leave it as is and make sure all of the guests get one at the reception or you can open the box by sliding off the ribbon, place a message inside with the key, and slide it back on.  Then if the message is different for each person, you can write their name on the back of the tag before you hand them out.

These key favors come out to about $2.25 each, making them a really affordable option if you’re planning on giving a favor to a lot of guests.  They look great displayed with each guests place-setting at the reception and it’s something they can continue to use well after your wedding to remember your special day.
