My first visit to AnnaBela Artistry, I was interested in showing you guys these adorable dog sweaters because we all know that I have a serious obsession with my little fluffy Bichon. There is so much more there than what I had focused on though. Below are DeterminedMomma.com’s top three picks for the 2013 Holiday Season from AnnaBela Artistry.
For the Pup
I think this is just incredibly adorable, and not just because I would cuddle the “model” in a heart beat. These crochet dog sweaters are cute and functional. They’re perfect for protecting your little furry loved one during the colder months. When I showed this particular one to a friend of mine who’s also an obsessive dog owner, she said that we could sew little rhinestones or pearls around it to make it “Princess Perfect”. I love the idea, but I also adore the sweater as-is.
Crochet Handbags and Beautiful Jewelry
AnnaBela Artistry has a special line of Crochet Handbags that have special jewels sewn into them. These are incredibly unique and will be great for a holiday gift. The gemstones sewn into the bag have a description on them as well as what mood, zodiac sign, and other parts of life that they’re commonly associated with. From the one above:
Carnelian has a long and storied past, and was once considered strictly the property of the noble class. People holding a high social status were often buried with this gem stone.
If you ask me which of the jewelry pieces I want in this shop, the answer is just going to be “Yes”. I really can’t choose! There are so many amazing pendants and bracelets to choose from, but the one that would best follow the trends coming up for Spring is this “Sunrise” necklace pictured above.
About AnnaBella Artistry via the owner, Anna Zetterberg:
My first obsession is creating jewelry. I started making jewelry in 1999 when I was forced to quit my job due to severe depression and extreme anxiety. I needed an outlet and a focus to keep my mind and hands busy. Jewelry making became a form of therapy for me. It helped me get through some of the most difficult times in my life.As it turned out, my creations weren’t too bad. People wanted to buy them, so my husband and I started our jewelry business. We sold at craft shows all over Southern California for over 2 years. As much as we enjoyed doing craft shows, we were both forced to go back and get “regular” jobs. My love for creating jewelry was put on hold for 10 years.
After over 10 years of trying to conceive a child, we had our “miracle” baby. We found out we were pregnant the weekend before we were to start fertility treatments again for the umpteenth time. This was the turning point in our lives.
Now, I’m a stay at home mom and loving and appreciating every minute of it. But I was still needing a feeling of accomplishment in my life. Something besides just being a mom. So, I started to learn to crochet last year when I decided to make socks for my family for Christmas. I loved it so much, I haven’t stopped since!
In June of this year, I decided to open up on online shop and start my love of creating jewelry once again and adding my new love of crochet.
One of the unique things that I offer is in my “Good Tidings” Purse Collection. For any purse sale, I will sew in a gemstone inside the purse. My mother always told me never to give a wallet empty. Always put atleast a dollar so that the recipient will never be out of money. So, in honor of that tradition, I offer the person money, luck, love, protection or power. They choose the “Good Tidings” that they want and I will sew in a gemstone that represents that meaning.
It’s really difficult for me to pick one certain item in my shop as a favorite. Each and every one of them holds a special place and meaning because it represents a certain time in my life. I have a soft spot for my baby collection because we never thought we’d ever have a child. I have a soft spot for my doggie collection because until we had our baby girl, our dogs were our kiddos. I have a soft spot for my “Good Tidings” Collection because it reminds me of my mom. Each one means so much to me, it’s impossible to pick a favorite.
